A Dark Fairy-Tail
“Once upon a time, there was a creature with two heads born from the same spark. They were both sons of God, they were strong and fierce together. Then one ate the other, who became the tail, so that the survivor could never forget his decision.”
Cain is an Oakeshott Type XII, inspired by a sword preserved in Musee de l’Armée, France. The typical anatomy and dynamic properties make it a very good choice for the I.33 sword and buckler tradition. The delicate bronze pommel and the broad fullered blade give it presence and charm. On the cuir-bouilli and tooled chape, the re-written story of Cain and Abel comes to life, depicting them as a two headed mythical creature fighting for their own supremacy. As it is humankind’s nature to fight, but also their responsibility to remember the whys and learn, century after century.
* This sword is fully handmade without templates, so every Cain will be different from the previous one, as our craftsmanship and methods evolve and prevent machine-made effects. Tiny imperfections, differences and asymmetries give your sword a completely unique personality.
