The Crowned Justice
“Spada son contro ogni arma mortale, né lanza né azza né daga contra mi vale. Longa o curta me posso fare e me strengo e vegno allo zogho stretto, e vegno allo tor d’ spada e allo abrazare, mia arte si è rotare e ligadure so ben fare de coverte e ferire sempre in quelle voglio finire. Chi contra me farà ben lo farò languire. E son Reale e mantengo la justicia, la bontà acresco e destruzo la malizia. Chi me guarderà facendo in me crose, de fatto d’armizare gli farò fama e vose.”

Flos Duellatorum, Fiore dei Liberi,
1409-1410
Fior di Battaglia longsword is inspired by Royal Armouries inv. IX.1106, found in Lake Constance and dated about 1365. This late-medieval estoc is archetypal when you think about the teachings of the Italian Master at Arms Fiore dei Liberi (1409-1410). Its sturdy lines and extruded disc pommel make it feel strong and stable in the hand, and the acute profile of the blade makes it impressively lively in the thrusts and “zoghi”.
* This sword is fully handmade without templates, so every Fior di Battaglia will be different from the previous one, as our craftsmanship and methods evolve and prevent machine-made effects. Tiny imperfections, differences and asymmetries give your sword a completely unique personality.
