Product Description
The Leading Lady
The Fugitive sidesword is the quintessence of the Renaissance spada da lato and represents the top-notch configuration among our sport sideswords, along with the Errant. It was inspired by several originals featuring more complex hilts and fancy curved quillons. The excellent protection of the upper and lower port, combining with the two-branches counterguard, cover both sides of the hand, while the blade shows authority in bindings and agility in thrusts. The Fugitive is specifically designed for Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA) in collaboration with the Elizabethan Fencing School Tempus Fugitives from London and is an excellent pairing with our buckler, targa, parrying dagger or a cape.
