Product Description

The Meister’s Extension

The Meyer Rappier is named in honor of the esteemed German fencing master Joachim Meyer and his comprehensive treatises. This rapier was meticulously crafted to adhere to the principles of the feichtmeister’s fencing system and the techniques elucidated within his Gründtliche Beschreibung, der freyen Ritterlichen unnd Adelichen Kunst des Fechtens from 1570.

In addition to its distinctive hilt, the Schilt provides added defensive capabilities while enabling a grip with the thumb on the blade. The rapier’s slender profile and diamond section, inspired by numerous illustrations, guarantee exceptional agility and nimbleness in fencing maneuvers.  Created with Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA) in mind, the Meyer makes an ideal match with either our parrying dagger or a cape.
