The Dark One
“I am the Elder King: Melkor, first and mightiest of all the Valar, who was before the world, and made it. The shadow of my purpose lies upon Arda, and all that is in it bends slowly and surely to my will”
Morgoth speaking to Húrin
J.R.R. Tolkien, The Children of Húrin

Re Nero is a two handed falchion inspired by a famous Battle of Castillon’s finding, preserved in the Royal Armouries, Leeds, INV. IX 5409. The blade was re-scaled from a one-handed to a two-handed falchion and two ridges were added on the false edge, after French period miniatures. The intimidating proportions, weight and aesthetics resonate with the explosive cutting action and the unexpected manoeuvrability. The blackening of both pommel and crossguard emphasize its aggressive soul and also prevent rust effects.
* This sword is fully handmade without templates, so every Re Nero will be different from the previous one, as our craftsmanship and methods evolve and prevent machine-made effects. Tiny imperfections, differences and asymmetries give your sword a completely unique personality.
