Product Description
A Warrior’s Inheritance
San Maurizio is an iconic sword attributed to Saint Maurice, a famous Roman warrior and martyr. The sword was dated to the 13th century and preserved in the Abbaye de Saint-Maurice d’Agaune or Saint-Maurice-en-Valais in Switzerland, until the end of 16th century when the Prince of Savoy transferred it to Turin. San Maurizio, with its parallel profile taper, the fullered section and the brazil nut pommel is an accurate approximation of the original sword preserved in Armeria Reale in Turin: the scabbard was also crafted after a careful analysis of the structure and construction methods.
